D&R Canal Path Walker Raped Near Kingston, Police Circulate a Sketch of the Suspect

Police released a composite sketch of a man suspected of raping a woman along the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park towpath near Kingston in South Brunswick on Tuesday afternoon, September 28.


Police said an armed man approached the woman while she was walking alongside the canal, forced her off the trail, took her to a nearby location, and raped her. The attack took place on the border of South Brunswick and Plainsboro during daylight, between 4:30 and 5 pm.

The suspect is about 5’5” to 5’6” tall, was wearing a dark baseball cap, and is believed to be Latino, police said.
