Celebrate “May in Montgomery” at the Johnson Farm, also known as Bridgepoint Run Farm, on Saturday, May 10. All proceeds go to the Van Harlingen Historical Society. Admission includes catered lunch, live music, dancing, crafts/demos, and farm tours.

The Johnson family, farming the land for almost 100 years, has graciously agreed to open their iconic 18th century farm. It is perhaps the only property in Montgomery Township operating continuously as a working farm since pre-Revolutionary War times.

Owner / operator Dale Johnson and his family are the fifth generation to farm the land. Johnson took over the farm operations in 2015. It is located on the corner of Bridgepoint Rd and Dead Tree Run Rd , in Belle Mead, NJ.

The farm sells and produces fresh vegetables and grass-fed and grass-finished beef. It also grows hay and straw.

It is known for its registered Speckle Park Cattle. Those who visit the farm in May are in for treat because calving season began on April 1.

"It's always exciting to see what pattern these speckle park calves will be," Johnson says on his Bridgepoint Run Farm Facebook page.

In addition to being a farmer, Johnson also is a talented photographer with a large following on Facebook. Visit his page to learn more, and to enjoy farm photos.
