Carolyn Glover Camper of Skillman, NJ, died on Sunday, April 20, 2025. She was 92.


Born in Washington, DC, she grew up in Falls Church, VA. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Radford College in 1953. Carolyn and her late husband Benton Camper moved to Skillman in 1963. In 1970, driven by their passion for tennis, the pair co-founded the Nassau Raquet and Tennis Club.


Daughter of the late Clarence and Carolyn (Baldwin) Glover, wife of the late Benton Blake Camper, sister of the late Anne Cannon, Martha Strautmann, and Wheeler LeGrand Glover, she is survived by her son Benton Blake Camper, Jr., her daughter Carolyn Tillett Camper, her brother Clarence Kinsey Glover, Jr, and 4 grandchildren that brought her endless joy: Taylor Christian Illes, Stephen Blake Illes, Benton Blake Camper, III, William Edward Camper.


A memorial service was held on May 3 at the Princeton United Methodist Church.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to SaveHomelessAnimals.org in honor of her lifetime love of all animals.
