Monty Police Looking for Witnesses to a Motor Vehicle Crash at 518/206 Crossing with Severe Injuries

Montgomery police are looking for details of a motor vehicle accident that "severely injured a Hopewell man. Witnesses are asked to call 908.359.3222.

Montgomery police and EMS responded to a motor vehicle collision that hospitalized a Hopewell man. The accident occurred at the intersection of Routes 206 and 518 in Skillman on Friday, July 23, at 5:43 am.

Carmen Rainieri, 64, of Hopewell Township was driving a 2009 Volkswagen Passat eastbound on Route 518 when he attempting to cross Route 206 intersection.

As Rainieri entered the intersection, he was impacted by a commercial box truck, which was being operated by Arrid Days, 51,of Westampton. Days was traveling north on Route 206 when his truck struck Rainieri’s vehicle in the intersection.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Montgomery EMS transported Rainieri to

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick for severe injuries.

Montgomery police are seeking anyone with information regarding the crash

to contact Traffic Sergeant Perry, or Officer Giles, at 908.359.3222.
