Montgomery Township/Rocky Hill School Board Candidates 2026

Q:  How many years have you lived in Montgomery or Rocky Hill?

A:   Our family has proudly called Montgomery home since 2018.

Q:  Where do you work/job title?

A:  I am President & CEO of Solix, Inc., a privately owned consulting and business process management company in Parsippany. 

Q:  Education

A:  I earned BA degrees in Economics & International Finance from Rutgers University and in Accounting from Saint Leo University, as well as an MBA in Finance from the College of William & Mary.

Q:  Family/Personal

A:  Family is at the center of everything I do. My wife, Molly, has been an unwavering support to me and our children. Our oldest daughter, Giuliana, graduated from Montgomery High School in 2024 and is a junior at Syracuse University. Our younger children, Noah and Gia, attend Upper Middle School, entering 8th and 7th grades.

Q:  What skills do you have that would make you a good school board member?

A:   I have coached flag football, baseball, and softball since 2019. For the past six years, I have served on the board of the Montgomery Baseball & Softball League, including the last four years as president. 

Professionally, I bring leadership, governance, financial management, and strategic planning experience. I understand the importance of preparing students for future success by encouraging intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. I also serve on the Foundation Board for Morris County College and have served on national boards focused on providing equitable access to education. These experiences will provide a broad perspective when evaluating the issues faced by our district. I am a lifelong learner who believes every student should have access to a safe, supportive, and engaging educational environment. 

Q:   What issues do you believe our district needs to address? What changes would you recommend?

A:  Montgomery is consistently recognized among the top public school districts in the state and the nation. Our challenge is to keep innovating in ways that strengthen our curriculum, facilities, technology, and staff development while meeting the evolving needs of our students. Every person learns differently, and we should continue expanding opportunities that allow students to pursue academic, artistic, athletic, and personal growth in ways that best fit their individual strengths and goals.

Q:   What are your thoughts on school taxes? What should be the MTSD priorities?

A:  New Jersey’s school funding formula combined with Montgomery’s high median household income and low business density result in most of the district’s funding requirements falling on residential taxpayers. Recent initiatives to attract more businesses into Montgomery should help mitigate the residential share of school taxes, and we should pursue every avenue to further diversify funding streams.

As a parent and taxpayer, I support investments that enhance the educational, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities available to our students. We must also remember the direct connection between the quality of our schools and the resale value of our homes. Many residents have enjoyed the benefits of significant value increases in recent years, and our school district is a primary driver of real estate marketability. At the same time, we have an obligation to ensure every dollar is spent thoughtfully and effectively. 

Q:   What are your thoughts on how to increase trust between board members, educators, and the public?

A:  Trust is built through honesty, transparency, communication, and accountability. Board members, administrators, educators, and community members may not always agree, and healthy debate is both expected and valuable. However, discussions must remain respectful, focused on the facts, and centered on what is best for students.

Q:   What book would you recommend as being important for all high school students to read, and say why?

A:    One book I would recommend is “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch.

Pausch’s story offers powerful lessons about perseverance, character, integrity, gratitude, and the importance of living with purpose. While it acknowledges life’s challenges, its message is optimistic and inspiring.
