Two Montgomery Township police officers earned awards for rescuing a dog from a pond in the Cherry Valley Country Club. The dog had escaped from a neighbor's backyard and fell into a frigid pond by the golf course on Jan. 21.

The star of truTV’s hit show Impractical Jokers — James “Murr” Murray — and his wife Melyssa purchased a five-bedroom home on a two-acre lot in Rocky Hill for about $1.3 million in April. It's regular home, however, it gets about 1,000 visitors a year, has an extensive model railroad setup in the basement, and is home to a 30-member non-profit club that wants to keep their masterpiece intact, but could not afford to purchase the property.

Party Fair, the discount party supply and rental store, plans to open a shop this summer in the Montgomery Shopping Center in Skillman on Route 206, next to ShopRite.

Vince Barragan has served as a global corporate finance executive for Johnson & Johnson. He graduated from Rahway High School in 1996. He earned a certificate of completion from the U.S. Army ROTC program at Fordham University. He currently serves as deputy mayor of Montgomery.

Michel “Mike” Martin of Skillman is a pharmaceutical executive and current member of the Montgomery Township Committee — the five-member governing body elected to lead the township. He is one of four candidates running in the June Primary Election for two slots on Democratic Party ballot in the November general election.

Nina Tadych, 15, won this year's Arbor Day seed contest, organized by Montgomery Township's Shade Tree Committee and held at the Montgomery Library in April.

Sydney S. Taggart, 92, died on November 15, 2024 in Princeton, NJ.
