Bristol is an ordained deacon (Episcopal) and retired Princeton Day School teacher.

He began working in watercolors in the 1980s — with his very first show at the Present Day Club. His current work reflects abstract value studies as well as realistic coastal scenes. His inspiration comes from special places from New Jersey to Maine.
