Township Administrator Lori Savron updated the community on top issues — WiFi service, the pending development of the Kenvue Corporate site in Skillman, management of the food pantry, and the imminent opening of a new, inclusive playground — at the Montgomery Township Committee meeting on Thursday, September 4.

Eli Khan, whose name adorns multi-family, industrial, and mixed-use commercial sites across Philadelphia’s affluent western suburbs on the Main Line, plans to present his concept to build 417 housing units on the former J&J/Kenvue site in Skillman at the Monday, September 8 Planning Board meeting.

Montgomery Police were busy in the last 30 days — arresting three individuals who had fallen asleep in unrelated incidents on township roadways. Two were found along Route 518 and one on Great Road. Police also issued multiple DUIs and reported car and home burglaries, and an incident of mail theft.

A group known as "Montgomery Neighbors United" has raised almost $9,000 as of today to challenge Montgomery Township's plan to provide the state-mandated 260 units or credits of affordable housing.

With nearly 40% of the town preserved, and more open space added each year, Montgomery Township’s land portfolio is dominated by preserved parkland, open space, and farmland. However, the property that once served as the government hub, is part of an evolving discussion: What should be done with the property that once housed the town’s municipal building?
