Rocky Hill Artist to Show Work in Princeton
Rocky Hill watercolor artist Hank Bristol, will unveil some of his recent sea and landscapes at the Present Day Club in Princeton, beginning this month. Bristol grew up sailing and swimming at the Jersey Shore. In college, he studied art history and black and white photography. Later in graduate school, he studied architecture.

Community Finds Comfort at a Church Vigil after a Hillsborough Mom Pleaded Not Guilty to Killing Her Two Young Sons
Hillsborough police arrested Priyatharsini Natarajan, 35, on Jan. 13 for allegedly murdering her two sons, ages 5 and 7, in her Hillsborough home, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. This is the second time in about four years that a mother was charged with killing her two young children in Hillsborough.

For Sale in Local Shops, Substances Sold for Health
A new law in New Jersey will phase out all intoxicating hemp sales by gas stations, convenience stores, and smoke shops, such as Montgomery's Rainbow Smoke Shop. This will include candy-shaped edibles, seltzers, and delta-8 loose leaf weed. A loophole currently allows the hemp, as well as potent THC seltzer, to be sold at smoke shops and all liquor stores, including, Skillman Wine & Liquor. The loophole will be eliminated by Thanksgiving 2026.

Montgomery Is Ranked No. 17 in the Highest School Taxes Category, Learn Why
According to a 2025 report on NJ.com, the Montgomery School District ranks 17th in the state for the highest school taxes. The average Montgomery taxpayer pays $11,749 each year to the public schools. This is 68.6% of a resident’s average annual property tax bill of $17,131. On the bright side, the overall average annual property tax of $17,131 is the lowest in the grouping of the 17 top districts.
