Paycheck Dispute Leads to an Arrest in Montgomery Twp, Police Blotter

Montgomery Police responded to a dispute at IGO Stem Academy in Belle Mead on Nov. 26 at 11:32 am and arrested a 23-year-old former employee.


Police said a dispute over a paycheck led to the arrest of Georgina Amankwah, 23, of South Brunswick. She was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct. Amankwah was processed at police headquarters and released, and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court.

Man Arrested for Stealing at Montgomery ShopRite

On December 10 , Montgomery Police arrested Jeffrey Shapiro, 46, of Princeton, for shoplifting

items totaling $285 from the Montgomery ShopRite.


Police said the thefts occurred on three separate occasions, beginning in September. Shapiro was processed and released and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court.

Food Delivery Stolen

Montgomery Police responded to a Sunset Road residence on Nov. 30 at 3:13 pm, for a theft of

a food delivery. An individual took a food delivery from the front porch of the residence shortly after

it was delivered. The incident is being investigated.
