For many patients, a trip to the dentist can bring anxiety. For Dr. Manasa Reddy, easing that fear is just as important as the dental work itself.

Dr. Reddy, a general and cosmetic dentist, opened Belle Mead Dental with a simple goal: Create a place where patients can trust they will feel heard, informed, and genuinely cared for.

On Route 206, across the street from the Allegra School of Music & Arts, this new practice has been building for more than a decade, when she and her husband Prashant Dendi purchased Readington Dental in Whitehouse Station in 2012.

About Dr. Reddy

Growing up in Summit surrounded by healthcare professionals, caring for others was a part of Reddy’s everyday life. Her mother was a pediatrician and her father a general physician, and many extended family members also worked in medicine and science.

She initially studied computer science engineering at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), affiliated with Osmania University in India, but the pull toward healthcare never left.

The most important thing she left CBIT with was fellow student and the love of her life — her husband Prashant. He is now a lead Global ERP Operations professional at Kenvue in Summit.

While their careers took different paths, both share a commitment to hard work, family, and applied sciences.

After shadowing dentists when visiting her cousins, Dr. Reddy discovered dentistry offered a perfect blend of science, medicine, and creativity. And, she was able to still pursue her longtime love of art and watercolor painting.

She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry, completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and pursued additional studies at Rutgers University and Penn State.

Dr. Reddy then worked in several dental offices. While the experience strengthened her clinical skills, she said she grew frustrated by the high-volume practices that focused on speed rather than connection. Sometimes she found herself seeing upwards of 20 patients a day, leaving little time for real patient interaction.

Determined to practice differently, she opened her own practices, focused on patient-centered care. She takes time to explain procedures, discuss oral health, and ensure patients feel at ease.

Family remains central to everything Dr. Reddy does. She and Prashant have two daughters, ages 13 and 9, both born in Belle Mead.

While Dr. Reddy owns the practices, she credits her husband and extended family for their constant, unwavering support.

“I see how passionate and happy she is with her practice and want to do everything I can to help her continue to be successful,” her husband said.
