Rocky Hill resident Sean Kucharski and his finance Brandie L. Merunka like to spend evenings fishing for catfish off the Washington Street bridge over the Millstone River. Perhaps this hobby might change, after Kucharski was struck by a bicycle in the dark of night and, in his words, was "almost killed."

Recruitment efforts to hire three new officers began in February, with a total of 96 applications. Of those, the Montgomery Police Department selected three. All three were affirmed by the Township Committee, and two were sworn in at town hall on October 16.

On October 18 at 9:30 am, Montgomery Police, Montgomery Fire Company 2, Rocky Hill Fire Company and Montgomery EMS responded to building 10 at the Princeton Garden Apartments on Blue Spring Road for a fire in an apartment.

Myjuan Unique Gomez, known around the gym as Bo, staged a grand opening of his new venture on September 10. Bo is also a membership salesman at Princeton Fitness and Wellness Center. He enhanced this passion for fitness with his love of flavor and community by founding and opening his Unique Eats Café.

“Impractical Jokers” comedian James “Murr” Murray and his wife Melyssa will be hosting the 46th Annual Pacific Southern Holiday Train Show in Rocky Hill on November 22 and 23. They are also holding their fourth annual No. 95 Charity event in Montclair to benefit the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research on Saturday, October 25 from 7 pm until 10 pm.

The Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 25 from 2-4 pm at Montgomery High School. Also, Lisa Carra assumed the fulltime role as Community Resource Manager for the Senior Center. Carra brings a wealth of experience as the former manager of the Bridgewater senior center.
