Montgomery Township will remember local victims of the September 11, 2001 attack on America with a ceremony at the Montgomery Fire Department #2 / Blawenburg at 6 pm today, September 11.

Three Montgomery residents and one Rocky Hill resident died in the 9/11 attacks – Brian Thomas Cummins, Steven Goldstein, Phillip L. Parker, and William F. Fallon (Rocky Hill). Also, countless first responders died on that tragic day.

Brian Cummins was only 38. He grew up in Belle Mead, and was a natural math whiz. He won state math awards starting in 5th grade. He later moved to Manasquan and worked as an equity market maker and partner with Cantor Fitzgerald. His office was on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center. He was the fourth son of six boys and had a remarkably close family.

Steven Goldstein, 35, had been working at Cantor Fitzgerald for only two weeks. Prior to that, he spent his working days in his basement office at home in Montgomery Township, where he had developed an Internet company that Cantor recently purchased. He was a husband and father of two young children.

Phillip L. Parker, 53, of Skillman was a senior vice president of Aon Corporation, which took him frequently to Aon's office on the 99th floor of the World Trade Center. But on weekends, he was transformed. He became a D.J., at least in the privacy of his home, mixing CD's to entertain friends, or just his wife. He played banjo and guitar.

William F. Fallon Jr., 53, of Rocky Hill worked on the 62nd floor of One World Trade Center as an official at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on 9-11. His wife of 27 years, Brenda Carter Fallon, still lives in Rocky Hill. He has a son, Chris, who now lives in Maine.
