When Alyssa Petti showed up for her first day of work as the new general manager for Dogtopia in Belle Mead on Monday, June 30, she was in for a surprise. Some of the employees were on strike holding signs stating, "Beware of Owner, Not Dog!," "No More Ruff Conditions," and "Dogs Can't Speak so We Are."

Rocky Hill, a small borough with about 250 households and population of around 700ish people, celebrated Independence Day on July 4th in its usual way — a parade.

Somerset County officials presented their preferred solution to the Griggstown Causeway traffic nightmare: Three traffic lights. The flooding issues were not addressed at public hearing and information session at the Somerset County Administration Building in Somerville on July 1.
