This summer, the last of the long-planned loop roads designed to ease congestion and improve traffic flow at the Routes 206/518 intersection will open to traffic. The loop road network was originally recommended in the 2002 Master Plan by the Planning Board and policy makers as the most effective and least disruptive solution. It was determined the loop-road system offered a more sustainable approach.

There have been some drastic changes to Obinna Obuba’s life since his last athlete of the month nomination in May 2025. The Montgomery senior spent his fall hauling in 21 catches for 534 yards and six touchdowns on the gridiron, helping the Cougars to a Section Two, Group Four championship appearance against Phillipsburg. However, his best work still comes on the track, where he owns the school record in the 55m hurdles, and lowered it in dramatic fashion.

For years, girls’ wrestling was an afterthought. There was little to no participation, lacking resources, and not enough girls like Emma Reyes-Cano leading the charge. The Montgomery freshman is off to a wonderful career, ripping off her last 11 matches to boost her record to 17-6.

New e-bike regulations are now in effect across New Jersey. E-bike drivers must now have a valid licence for ages 15 and up, and insurance. The Montgomery Township Police Department reminds residents the new law is designed to improve public safety, clarify operator requirements, and ensure responsible use of electric bicycles throughout our community.
