Fully Promoted Princeton (FPP) aims to be a “one-stop shop” for local businesses to purchase promotional materials, such as embroidered custom-designed shirts, hats, signs, pens, cups, and more.

Owner Rashmi Nair of Belle Mead opened her shop in May in Research Park on Route 206, across from Princeton Airport.

She says she is committed to “making businesses visible.”

Nair had been working as a consultant. During COVID, she says, “I saw the healthcare field bring me far too much stress.”

So, she started her own business selling promotional items. One hurdle to her brick and mortar shop, she said, is that many business owners will go online to buy marketing and promotional items.

“However, every client and product is unique. I want clients to feel like they gained value from us. When I present them with something it’s made of high quality materials, and it has to connect with the worth a client is trying to achieve. You need to know your audience,” Nair said.

Nair moved to Belle Mead in 2020, with the motivation of sending her son Aaryan to Montgomery High School.

Once in the district he thrived, as part of the peer leadership program in both 11th and 12th grade. Aaryan graduated in MHS’ Class of 2024, and now attends Rutgers. He also works at Kasia Market, and has been active with the Montgomery Farmers Market.

Nair and her son have lived in multiple New Jersey communities: Sayreville, Edison, East Rutherford, and more. She says they never had the feeling of “being at home” like they do in Belle Mead.

“When we moved here we fell in love with Montgomery as it’s such a beautiful place and people are kind.”

Nair is also a certified yoga instructor as well as a realtor.  She says she wants to get more involved with the community, and applauds the efforts Mayor Neena Singh, the Township Committee, Montgomery Health Officer Devangi Patel and other staff who have contributed to the mayor’s wellness campaign.

She envisions collaborations to turn Montgomery and central New Jersey into a “blue zone” where wellness activities are integrated in the local lifestyle. Her ultimate goal is to start a health and wellness center in Montgomery. She said more charitable walks/runs and mental health awareness programs should be organized.

Nair said that effort and teamwork – plus a heavy dose of marketing – Montgomery can be regarded as a leading town for health and wellness programs.

The emphasis for Nair’s new local business and adopted hometown is on educating people about the importance of branding; making sure that the intended message and brand principles stand out.

Nair has joined The Montgomery Business Association to help folks learn about the importance of shopping local.

“We have everything we need here in town. If we support each other Montgomery will become stronger. Fully Promoted Princeton can be that partner to foster better branding,” Nair said. ■
