Geraldine Gillico, known as “Jerry” by all who knew her, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Jerry was born, Geraldine Nancy Juliano, on May 8, 1936 in Atlantic City to parents, Thomas and Vera Juliano. She grew up in Atlantic City, attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Elementary School graduating from 8th grade in 1950. She went on to attend Holy Spirit High School, where she was a brilliant student graduating in 1954 with the honor of class salutatorian. After high school she was recruited to join an X-Ray Technician training program at the Atlantic City Hospital, where she went on to practice as an X-Ray

technician for several years. Later, she received her degree as a registered nurse and practiced at

Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ until her retirement.

Jerry met her husband, Carmen Gillico, while on a skiing vacation with her friends in the Pocono

Mountains. They were married in a beautiful wedding ceremony at Saint Michael Church. Jerry was

a spectacular bride in a dress she designed herself, traveled to New York with her dressmaker aunt

to purchase the silk and lace material, and worked with her aunt for weeks as the dress was made.

The young couple built a beautiful home in Skillman, NJ. Jerry and Carmen were blessed with three

wonderful children, Dominic, David, and Hope Marie. They purchased a cabin cruiser, the “Jerry

G.," which they kept docked at the Forked River State Marina and spent many happy weekends as

a family, fishing out of Barnegat. There, they made lifelong friends who were also boating

enthusiasts. Sadly, Carmen died suddenly while his children were very young, leaving

Jerry to carry on alone as a devoted mother. Throughout her life, she continued visiting the marina,

spending time on the boat, and visiting with her many friends there.

Jerry was the matriarch of a beautiful and close family in the Skillman/Hopewell area. Her

daughter, Hope Marie, enhanced the family with three daughters, Heather, Holly, and Hayley.

Recently, Jerry became a great grandmother when her granddaughter Heather became the mother

of sweet baby Antonette Marie. Some of the last photos taken of Jerry are of her holding little

Antonette Marie as she looks at her glowingly with pride and joy.

Jerry is survived by a family that will miss her, remember her with much love, and forever reminisce

about time spent with her throughout the years: including her children, grandchildren, and great

granddaughter. She is also survived by her sisters, Pauline Dawson and Margaret Haase, both of

California. While living far apart, the three sisters kept in close contact and shared a loving bond.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Alongside her,

was her loving companion of 35 years, HoJo, a Blue-fronted Amazon parrot. They will all treasure

their memories of her.

Throughout her life, Jerry was loved and admired by many people for her kindness, good nature,

and gentle spirit. Rest in peace our beautiful, brilliant, devoted, and precious loved one, our

sweet, Jerry.

A Christian burial took place on December 3 at Ewing Church Cemetery, 100 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ 08628,
