John was born in Sweden, grew up in New Jersey but his path to Montgomery in 1997 was due to his wife to be, Mary. John was living in Hightstown and met Mary at a Halloween Party. He was there as a clown and she caught his eye as the only pirate at the party with a real sword.

Mary was living in Montgomery where she was working as a dentist. Mary had spent 20 years seeing the world as a dentist in the US Navy. She ultimately opened a dental practice in Montgomery Knoll which is running as SRI Dental.
