A Second Motor Vehicle Burglary at Skillman Park

Montgomery police reported a second motor vehicle burglary involving a smashed car window at Skillman Park.

A 51-year-old female and her son returned to their 2013 Honda CRV to find the windows smashed, and items taken on March 1. Someone stole the victim’s purse, including her credit cards, checks, cash, cell phones, and an ID.

The victim advised police that she had left her purse in plain view while she and her son went for a walk.

Skillman Park in Montgomery Township is owned and managed by Somerset County. The park is approximately 250 acres with access from Route 601 and Burnt Hill Road, using Main Boulevard. The park features beautiful vistas, and a 2.25 mile paved multi-use loop trail. There are several parking lots located off of Main Boulevard where you can park and easily access the trail. The police did not identify the parking lot in which the crime occurred.
