The Montgomery Farmers’ Market returned to the Montgomery Municipal Building in Skillman, off Route 206, on Saturday, May 31, from 10 am to 1 pm. The Blawenburg Band’s Dixieland Ensemble performed from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm to help celebrate opening day.

In May, Preservation New Jersey named the flood-damaged and vacant Washington Well Farm in Skillman to its 2025 list of the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places. The Dutch farmstead, established circa 1750, is tied to the Revolutionary War and is known for a well where George Washington’s troops stopped to drink in 1778. Flood damage caused by Hurricane Ida in 2021 severely damaged the home and some outbuildings.

Sydney S. Taggart, 92, died on November 15, 2024 in Princeton, NJ.

Dipalika "Dipali" Bhargava, MD, of Belle Mead died on May 6, 2025. She was 86. Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India on October 22, 1938, she was a beacon of resilience, intelligence, and compassion.

Robert G. Tortolani, 95, died on April 11, 2025 at Stonebridge at Montgomery senior living community in Skillman, NJ. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances R. (Pandozzi) Tortolani.

William Thomas “Tom” Rohrbach, 77, of Belle Mead, died on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
