Two Men Arrested for Stealing a Leaf Blower from a Trailer in Montgomery Township

Montgomery Township police arrested two men for allegedly stealing a leaf blower from a landscaper's trailer while it was parked on North Street in the Belle Mead section of the township on Monday, April 4 at 5:30 pm.


According to witnesses, two men in an older model blue SUV stole the leaf blower and fled the scene. Police located the suspect's vehicle on Harlingen Road and arrested Matthew Abrahamsen, 33, of Belle Mead, and Arthur Sweetman, 46, of Monmouth Junction. Both defendants were charged with one count of theft of moveable property and released pending an appearance in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

Driver Crashes into Utility Pole and Tree on Cherry Valley Road


Princeton police, Montgomery police, and EMS Squad 47 responded to Cherry Valley Road for a motor vehicle crash with injury on Monday, April 4 at 10:04 am.


Kahlee Post, 21, of Telford, PA, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco east on Cherry Valley Road when the vehicle crossed the centerline and went off of the northern side of the roadway, police said.

The driver struck a chevron curve warning sign, a utility pole, and a tree. EMS transported her to Capital Health Regional Medical Center with complaints of pain to the neck, shoulders, and back. She was wearing a seat belt, and the driver’s front and side airbag deployed. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. A summons for failure to keep right was issued to the driver.
