In his free time, Stephen enjoyed Sunday afternoon rides, trips to the family cabin in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania as well as trips to Lancaster County. He also enjoyed researching his German family tree, eating German food, restoring Farmall IH tractors with his son, and beekeeping.

Weingart III; his mother, Doris (Brokaw) Weingart; his sisters Susan (Weingart) Moran and her husband Michael Moran; Lisa (Weingart) Kane and her husband Joseph Kane; his brother-in-laws and sister-in laws Charles and Maureen Thurston and John and Patricia Thurston, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
