Montgomery Woman Airlifted to Burn Center after Cooking Oil Accident

A 53-year-old Montgomery Township woman was airlifted to the Burn Center at St. Barnabas in Livingston for treatment today (May 4) after sustaining burn injuries from cooking oil in her Brandywine Road home.

The woman sustained burns to her face, neck, and arm.

Montgomery police, medics, EMS, and Montgomery Fire Stations 45 and 46 responded to the residence on Brandywine Road at 2:39 pm, for burn injuries sustained due to cooking oil.


A 63 year-old-male resident also sustained burns to his hands and foot.


Police said both victims were conscious, alert, and talking to first responders on scene. The male was transported by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-New Brunswick for treatment.
