Montgomery Township Man Charged with Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Materials

MONTGOMERY TWP., N.J. – Brett Ajamian, 29, of Pike Run in Belle Mead, NJ, was arrested for possession of child sexual abuse materials, according to a Feb. 3 press release from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Officer.


Somerset County detectives, along with the Montgomery Police Department, executed a Superior Court search warrant at Ajamian’s residence on Tuesday, January 27. As a result of the search warrant, electronic devices were seized from the residence for further forensic analysis.

On the same date, Somerset County Computer Crimes Unit detectives and the Branchburg Police Department took Ajamian into custody in Branchburg, NJ without incident. Ajamian was transported to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for processing on charges of 3rd degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.


The NJ State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force had notified the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office of multiple CyberTipline Reports provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning the possession of files depicting the sexual abuse and/or exploitation of a minor via an online cloud storage account.


An investigation initiated by Somerset County detectives led to the identification of Brett Ajamian as being associated with this online cloud storage account.


Prosecutor John P. McDonald, stated that Ajamian was lodged at the Somerset County Jail and was later released from custody after making an appearance in Superior Court.

Prosecutor McDonald thanked members of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for their initial involvement and assistance with this investigation.

NOTE: The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
