Joan Marie (Loftus) O’Connor of Montgomery Township died on April 3.

Joan had worked for the Montgomery Township Board of Education. She was a devout Catholic, who attended mass several times a week, as well as a weekly rosary group, until health matters prevented her from doing so.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her love of the Yankees and her quick Irish wit.

Born in Buck Run, PA on June 7, 1927, Joan married James Joseph O’Connor. She was predeceased by her husband and two sons, James and Bill.

She is survived by son Michael of Montgomery Township; a daughter, Erin of Maryland; daughter-in-law Jean; six grandchildren; and four great-grand children.

Arrangements for a funeral will be announced at a later date.
