Four-Car Crash with One Injury in Rocky Hill

By Barbara A. Preston l March 4, 2021

New Jersey State Police and Rocky Hill first responders shut down Route 518 beginning about 6 pm on Thursday following a four-vehicle accident. One man was transported to Penn Medical Center of Princeton in Plainsboro.

Rocky Hill Fire Chief Todd Harris told a Montgomery News reporter on the scene that the man had to be "extricated from his vehicle" so the Rocky Hill First Aid Squad could take him to the hospital. He could not comment on the seriousness of the man's injuries, or the identity of the man.

The vehicles involved in the accident included a Ford F-450 heavy-duty pickup truck, a Kia Sorento SX-V6, a Honda Accord Sport, and a Toyota mini-van. All four vehicles had New Jersey license plates.

The pickup truck was in the opposite lane of traffic and lost a wheel and a bumper. The Kia ended up on the lawn of a nearby residence.

Route 518, also known as Washington Street in Rocky Hill, was still closed at 8 pm. The Montgomery News will follow up with the NJ State Police and Rocky Hill first responder leaders when possible. Firefighters from Montgomery Township Company #2 and Franklin Township were also on the scene.
