Drunk Man Arrested for Trespassing on Spring Hill Road Property

Spring Hill Road residents called Montgomery police after finding an unknown man wandering around their property on Saturday, March 19, at 6:55 pm. They reported that the man appeared to be drunk and injured. Police found a 30-year-old man from Long Island, NY, and arrested him for disorderly conduct and trespassing. Montgomery EMS transported the man to the hospital, on account of his high level of intoxication. He is due to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court for his charges.


90-year-old Princeton Driver Loses Control at 518/206 Intersection

Montgomery police and EMS responded to an accident at the intersection of Route 206 and 518 on Monday, March 21 at 3:58 pm. Officer Akeel Babar determined that Rita Strow, 90, of Princeton was

driving south on Route 206 in her 2011 Chrysler sedan when she lost control, drove across

the parking lot of an abandoned gas station, and struck a light post and two guy-wires.


Strow then drove south, across Route 518, and came to rest at Lakeland Bank. EMS transported Strow to the hospital for treatment. Police issued her a summons for careless driving, and she is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court.

Car Fire Catches Fire on Route 206

Montgomery police, EMS, and fire companies 1 and 2 responded to a car fire on Route 206 near Route 601 on Sunday, March 27 at 1:19 pm.


A Bound Brook resident was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata when it caught fire. Apparently, the passenger-side tire was rubbing against the suspension, which caused a fire in the wheel well. The fire was quickly extinguished by patrol officers and responding fire fighters ensured the fire was completely extinguished. The vehicle was towed.
