Broome + Greene, a modern furniture, lighting, and decor store, announced on June 27 that they have signed on as one of the anchor tenants at Montgomery Promenade — a 300,000-square-foot mixed-use retail project in Montgomery.
Developer Madison Marquette announced that it plans to open the outdoor mall in late 2020.
The 9,000-square-foot Broome + Greene store will be the company's largest showroom opening to date. It will be located opposite a planned full-size Whole Foods supermarket.
Richard Eib, chief executive officer at Broome + Greene said: "Retail is not dead. Shoppers are looking for a hybrid of online and offline shopping and this has never been more evident than in the home furnishing category."
"We're looking forward to opening our largest store to date at Montgomery Promenade and to introducing our eclectic selection of furniture, lighting, and decor to the area," he said in a press release delivered to The Montgomery News.
The furniture store will "engage shoppers and the local community with initiatives, such as: complimentary designer-on-call services; weekly programed events such as in-store yoga, health-and-wellness classes; interior design classes; book and art meetings; cocktail events; and more."
