The Acura entered the intersection and was struck by the small school bus, which was traveling south on Route 601.

As a result of the collision, the Acura sustained passenger side damage and airbag deployment. The school bus sustained front end damage and airbag deployment.  After striking the Acura, the school bus impacted the traffic signal on the south west corner of the intersection.

All six students and the bus driver were checked and cleared by Montgomery EMS and were released to their parents or taken home on another bus. The students were returning from an afternoon session at Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School when the accident happened, according to an announcement from the school district.

Forma was also treated at the scene and refused further medical treatment.

Police issue summonses to Forma for disregard of a traffic control device and careless driving. He is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court. The Somerset County Department of Transportation responded and made repairs to the damaged traffic signal.
