Prior to formal business, the Montgomery Township Committee issued proclamations at their September 14 meeting recognizing several local youth athletic organizations for notable 2026 season performances and honored dedicated public servants upon their retirements. In addition, Montgomery school officials expressed interest in a parcel of vacant land next to the high school.

Montgomery Township Committee appointed School board member Victoria "Cookie" Franco-Herman as the new chairperson of the Montgomery/Rocky Hill Municipal Alliance and Youth Services Commission (MAC-YSC), at its August 6 meeting.
