On October 18 at 9:30 am, Montgomery Police, Montgomery Fire Company 2, Rocky Hill Fire Company and Montgomery EMS responded to building 10 at the Princeton Garden Apartments on Blue Spring Road for a fire in an apartment.
The residents evacuated prior to the arrival of first responders and were treated by Montgomery EMS at the scene for minor smoke inhalation. Fire companies extinguished the fire, preventing damage to adjoining apartments.
The initial investigation determined the fire originated from a battery on an e-bike stored in the apartment. The residents were relocated to another apartment in the complex.
The Montgomery Township Fire Marshal is investigating.

On October 18 at 9:54 am, Montgomery Police and Montgomery EMS responded to Route 601 near Elm Drive for a motor vehicle crash.
Jahmaris Jefferson, age 26 of Philadelphia, PA was travelling north on Route 601 in a 2009 Subaru when he fell asleep.
The vehicle travelled off the road and struck a guardrail, causing the vehicle to overturn. Jefferson was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick for injuries sustained in the crash.
Jefferson was issued a summons for careless driving and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court.
