Montgomery United Methodist Church Member for 40 Years
November 24, 1946 - July 1, 2025

Daryl Rae Potter died on July 1, 2025 at home with her husband at her side. She was 78 years old.
Daryl was an active member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church in Belle Mead, NJ for over 40 years. She held various administrative positions and sang in the choir. Daryl also was a member of the Raritan Valley chorus for many years.
She was born on November 24, 1946 in Long Branch, NJ to the late Kenneth and Marie Van Pelt. She grew up in Little Silver, NJ and attended Red Bank High School and Lycoming College in Williams Port, PA. She was employed by NJ Bell in Red Bank and Haddon Heights, NJ before starting a family.
Daryl is survived by her husband of 53 years, Willard(Bill) Potter, son Christopher Potter, daughter-in-law Dr. Sally Cantrell, grandsons Zachary and Gabriel Potter, along with son Gregory Potter and daughter-in-law Nicole Potter.
Summers were spent in south Ocean City, NJ at the 57th street beach with family and friends. Beach reading extended to the year-round love of novels and mystery books.
A celebration of Daryl's life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11am in the Montgomery United Methodist Church, at 117 Sunset Road, Belle Mead, NJ.
