A Raritan man who is also charged with three other local sex crimes pleaded guilty on June 8 to first-degree aggravated sexual assault for raping a woman at knife-point on a section of the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park near Kingston on September 28, 2021.

The victim was walking along a D&R Canal path in the late afternoon (4:30 pm to 5 pm) when a man armed with a knife approached her, then dragged her into a wooded area. The man demanded money then raped her. The path was on the border of Plainsboro and South Brunswick.

He is subject to a sentence of 20 years in a New Jersey State Prison pursuant to the No Early Release Act. He also will be on parole supervision for life and must register under Megan’s Law.

Postrero is scheduled to be sentenced by Bucca on October 30.
