Route 518 Rocky Hill Road Work Scheduled Oct 23 — Oct 30


The Somerset County Engineering Department today announced the following schedule for road work on Route 518 through Rocky Hill — from Route 206 to the Millstone River Bridge.

Inlet and Manhole Repairs on Route 518 / Washington Street in Rocky Hill from Route 206 to the bridge over Millstone River — Wednesday, October 23 through Friday, October 25. Working hours will be 7 am to 4 pm with one-lane closures from 9 am to 4 pm.

Milling and Paving Work on Route 518 /Washington Street in Rocky Hill from Route 206 to the Millstone River Bridge will take place from Friday, October 25 to Wednesday, October 30 between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm, according to the Somerset County engineer. It is unknown whether the road will be closed during this time, or if there will be one-lane closures with alternating traffic. Either way, drivers may want to allow for more time to travel to their distinations, and or choose alternate routes.

In addition, the Somerset County engineer announced the following Rocky Hill Roads are expected to be to be milled and paved during the same time frame: Reeve Road (from Crescent Ave to Washington Street/518), Princeton Ave (from Washington Street/518 to the end), and Young Drive (from Washington Street to the end) in Rocky Hill.
