Local Elections 2025

New Jersey’s general election is Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
The Montgomery Township Committee is made up of five committee members. The township committee members select a new mayor from amongst its members each January. The committee enacts laws and policies that impact Montgomery Township, except matters of education (see Montgomery School Board) and health, which are controlled by the Board of Health.

The Montgomery Township Board of Education, which includes Rocky Hill Borough, is made up of nine seats. Elected members serve three-year terms. Six candidates are running for three open seats (three 3-year terms), in the general election on November 4.
Rocky Hill Borough Council, is made up of six seats. The mayor is elected separately. This year, two candidates are running for two open seats (3-year terms), in the general election on November 4. Incumbent Jonathan Lee (D) is running for another term, and newcomer Albert Chini (D) is running for the second seat. Incumbent Borough Council Member Catherine Plunkett chose not to run for another term. No GOP candidates filed to run in this election.
Somerset County is governed and managed by a Board of Commissioners. The board consists of five members. Two candidates are running for one three-year-term and two candidates are running for one one-year term.
The 2025 candidates are incumbent Melonie Marano (D) of Green Brook versus Nick Cuozzo (R) of Bernards Township for the 3-year term.
And, incumbent Elizabeth Graner (D) of Basking Ridge versus Michelle Mayorga (R) of North Plainfield for the 1-year term.
Two candidates are running to represent LD-12 in the United State Congress (House of Representatives). Candidates will be posted soon.
Mitchelle Drulis (D) of Raritan Township and Roy Freiman (D) of Hillsborough represent LD-16 in the NJ General Assembly. The incumbents are running against Scott Sipos (R) of Raritan Township and Catherine Payne (R) of Hillsborough.
