Skillman Post Office Deals with Another Stolen Check

A Skillman resident reported a theft of a check mailed at the Skillman Post Office on September 12. The resident discovered the check was altered to be payable to a different person, and the amount was changed. This is the fourth time a Montgomery resident's mail with a check has been stolen. The detective bureau is investigating.

Hillsborough Man Arrested for DWI

Sergeant Adam Verducci observed a vehicle traveling north on Route 601 with its high beams blinding oncoming traffic on September 12 at 10:56 pm. The vehicle also failed to maintain its lane. Verducci stopped the vehicle for the observed traffic violations. While speaking with the driver, Lambert Trusty, 51, of Hillsborough, Sgt Verducci determined Trusty had consumed alcoholic beverages.


Trusty was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to MTPD HQ for processing. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical breath testing, open container, reckless driving, careless driving, fail to maintain lane, fail to dim high beams, and maintenance of lamps. Trusty was released and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court. 


Ringoes Man Arrested for DWI

On September 14 at 12:11am, Sergeant Adam Verducci stopped a vehicle driven by Roderico Mendez-Najera, 21, of Ringoes, for failing to observe a traffic control device on Route 518 near Route 206. 


During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Sgt Verducci determined Mendez-Najera had consumed alcoholic beverages.  Mendez-Najera was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to MTPD HQ for processing.  Mendez-Najera was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to observe a traffic control device, failure to maintain lane, driving while intoxicated, open container, reckless driving, and careless driving.  Mendez-Najera was released and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court.
