Car Thieves Hit Montgomery Township Again; New Video Surveillance Available

Montgomery police are investigating the theft of two cars from a Skillman residence on July 29 at 3:18 am. The theft appears to be related to incident in Newark, and Montgomery police are working with Newark police.

Montgomery police have released three surveillance videos (see links below) and are asking for help from the community to identify the three men in the video. The men appear to be stealing not just one, but both of the cars — a 2019 Audi and a 2012 Volkswagen.

The high-quality surveillance videos show three masked men who approach a Montgomery home, walk up the driveway, and sift through two unlocked vehicles. The men found the keys and first drove off with the white car, then returned to the scene and drove away with the second vehicle.

Upon speaking with the Skillman homeowner, Montgomery police discovered the two vehicles were left unlocked with the keys inside.  Residents are reminded to lock their cars. See links to the videos below:

In other police news, Officer Sal Intili investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot of

Montgomery Veteran's Park on July 31 at 10:40 pm. The officer found the driver, Jennifer Camacho, 21, of Woodhaven, NY, to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Officer Intili arrested Camacho and transported her to MTPD HQ for processing. Camacho was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Camacho was released and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Municipal Court.
