Montgomery police are reporting that a plane crash with no injuries occurred on the Princeton Airport runway at about 9 am this morning.
The small plane — a single-engine Cessna 172R — crashed as it was landing at the airport, located on Route 206 in Montgomery Township.
While attempting to land, a gust of wind blew the plane off course, according to press release from the Montgomery Township police. The pilot tried to gain altitude and in doing so, struck a tree on the south side of Airpark Road, near the entrance to the airport. The crash is being investigated by the FAA.

Raritan Valley Flying School, which is based at the airport, owns the plane, according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Montgomery police, Montgomery EMS, Montgomery Fire Company 2 and Rocky
Hill Fire Company responded to Princeton Airport for the plane crash.

The FAA reported that two people were aboard the plane when it crashed off the runway. Montgomery Township police reported that just the pilot was on board.
