Republican Candidate Enters Race as Write-In

Jeffrey Grant, a Belle Mead resident, is running as a write-in candidate in the July 7 primary election.


If he receives 30 write-in votes, his name will appear on the November general election ballot.


"As a 15-year resident of Montgomery Township, I am at the ready to pitch in and return the goodwill to our town that our town has provided to me and my family," says Grant.


While raising his children, he served on the Somerset County Energy Council, where in addition to other contributions, he supported the chairman and others in helping guide Somerset Country freeholders in meaningful energy policies and actions. In particular he assisted Somerset County towns and school districts develop energy efficiency projects by managing energy audits for more than 80 buildings, resulting in proposed projects totaling $32 million. He is in his twelfth year of service on the Somerset County Energy Council.


Jeff is employed as an energy and engineering expert in the commercial real estate industry and is a professional engineer.
