The Montgomery Township Board of Education, which includes Rocky Hill Borough, is made up of nine seats. Elected members serve three-year terms. The Montgomery Township Committee is made up of five committee members. The township committee members select a new mayor from amongst its members each January. The committee enacts laws and policies that impact Montgomery Township, except matters of education (see Montgomery School Board) and health, which are controlled by the Board of Health.

New Jersey has two senators in the US Senate (every state gets two, regardless of population). Senator Bob Menendez (D) will be up for re-election in 2024. Cory Booker (D) will be up for re-election in 2026. Each senator is elected by NJ voters to a six-year-term.
